Diffuse widespread or scattered.
Thyroid: Thyroid
Megally: Extension

Treatment Thyromegaly

(A) The anatomical problems:

Benign solitary nodules + = hemithyroidectomy
B) For the physiological stress:
(1) + = diffuse goiter hypothyroidism the TSH is due to the high goitre.Hence abolition of the TSH with thyroxine

(2) hyperthyroidism + = diffuse goiter or thyroid 131I anti-drug-treatment

(3) multinodular goiter hyperthyroidism + = anti-thyroid drugs near total thyroidectomy +

(4) + multinodular goiter hypothyroidism: thyroxine + Near total thyroidectomy.


(C) For the pathological problems:

In all malignancies, they are individual nodes or multinodular goiter or diffuse goiter, and the only treatment is total thyroidectomy
